ProcOff monitors up to three processes and initiates computer shutdown if there has been no process activity for the set time. It also supports fixed activation and shutdown initiation times plus a fixed delay before shutdown initiation. There is a configurable shutdown delay to give the option to cancel shutdown plus the ability to stop users with insufficient privileges closing the program. External programs can be run on both activation and shutdown initiation. ProcOff supports all the normal shutdown modes. It can also be used to control a remote computer via a slave program. ProcOff can optionally check for updates on start up. Process names and many other parameters can be configured via the configuration screen. ProcOff can be started manually, on start up or automatically via Task Scheduler and can run in the system tray.

ProcOff is part of the JSutils group of software and was originally designed as part of a practical home energy saving project to save energy and money by reducing electricity, heating oil and water use. It is free for personal non commercial use, supports Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, comes complete with html help and is simple to install and use. ProcOff requires a registration code which free for personal non commercial use.

ProcOff can now be used with the AllOff slave. Fixes a bug where some buttons may not be re-enabled after the about and configuration screens time out. About screen timeout increased to 60 seconds. Fixes a bug where the system tray right click menu may not close when it loses the focus.

Fixes three bugs: If time delay and fixed time shutdown are selected with activity monitoring in monitor mode the status display is truncated. Clicking exit with the about or configuration screens open doesn't end the program. Reset and test buttons now disabled if ProcOff is not configured.

System Tray icon right click menu now has a full range of main screen options. Added time delay function. Fixed a bug which could stop the System Tray icon right click menu closing properly. Other minor changes.

Process maximum inactivity delay increased to 1 hour. Option to disable exit for non admin users added. View log now disabled if not administrator. Various minor layout changes.
