HelpSmith is an innovative help authoring tool for easy creation of CHM Help files, Web Help , PDF, and Print Manuals using the same source. The stand-alone and very easy-to-use environment integrates a powerful MS Word-like unicode text editor for editing help topics with dynamic styles and live spell checker, advanced approach to working with graphical and video files, and many other unique features.
HelpSmith, the help authoring tool from Divcom Software, provides you with an easy way to create help files from scratch and also lets you import help topics from HTML, Word RTF, TXT files that can be written in different ANSI charsets.
HelpSmith helps you provide technical documentation for your application in different output help formats one of which is context-sensitive CHM HTML Help files, a standard format for application's online Help in Windows. HelpSmith has complete support for all the features of HTML Help, allowing you to create the hierarchical TOC, alphabetical keyword Index, edit and create custom html help's help windows, etc.
The WYSIWYG principle makes the process of using HelpSmith as easy as working with regular office application. And, in fact, you do not have to learn any technical details to start writing professional help files with HelpSmith.

HTML Help compiler (HHC.exe) did create corrupted .CHM files sometimes. Added a workaround fixing the problem.

The doDownload.com constantly monitors the update of all programs, including information from the HelpSmith 4.1.2 changelog file, however sometimes it can happen that data are not complete or are outdated.We assume that author continue's to develop 4.2.0 version with further advanced features, and soon you will be informed. Equally important 5.0.0 upgrades of the program we will continue to monitor. Full HelpSmith description has been compared with the overall software database and our algorithm has found the following applications (are showed below).
